As you know from my last post, this month I am celebrating the one year anniversary of this blog, 10 years of hunting with my Dad and a milestone birthday. In honor of all three, I want to give away some great Maine stuff to all of you!
Rules:
1. Leave a comment
2. On Oct 28 (my big bday), Dad will pick a number and the corresponding post will win.
What will you win? A big basket of great Maine and outdoor things! Such as: fly fishing flies, blueberry something, Maine maple syrup, apple butter (to be made by me on Tuesday), something related to deer hunting and a couple of great books signed by local authors. (Pictures will be posted when I am back at a computer).
So thank you for your support and for helping my celebrate such a great month!!

You are an October baby too? Mine is this month also. The big 40. I'm excited. I hope your hunting season has more promise than ours. Blue tounge has hit South Dakota and we aren't seeing anything on our hunting grounds.
ReplyDeleteWe have seen a few does and there is a report of a buck in the area. I cant wait to get into the woods. I'm saying goodbye to my 20's and coming to grips with it =)
DeleteOctober is good! I am Winterborn myself (January) but I think having a birthday two months from Christmas, and so close to Halloween is much better! Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHappy early birthday to you! I bet the fall foliage in Maine is so pretty now!
ReplyDeleteIt has been beautiful! We have had rain and wind which kills the foliage but helps out hunters who can see better into the woods.
DeleteA "milestone birthday"? That's clever way to word it. That makes me "a milestone birthday plus two".
ReplyDeleteNo, it really is a milestone. Although I can see why people sit at 29... its been a great year!
Deletehopefully I win! LOL. My grandfathers side of the family is all from Maine and I've loved my visits up there, heckuva place Maine is.
ReplyDeleteYou need to come visit!!! Where in Maine are they from?
Deletemillinocket, among other places!
DeleteI think October must be the best month to have a birthday. It's my favorite month of all. I love your stories, especially the ones about hunting with your dad.
ReplyDeleteYou are wonderful!!!
DeleteOH WOW! Where to start?
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggiversary! I can't believe it's been a year already! Time sure flies when you're having fun ;)... Congrats on the 10 years of with hunting Dad! That's super awesome. I hunted many years with my Dad when I was younger but now he can't get out in the woods so he "hunts" vicariously thru my pictures and texts, haha....Happy early Birthday!! Age is nothing but a number, it's all about how we act ;)
Your Maine basket sounds great. I hope I win since I've never been to Maine and can sample some of the local things ya got!!
Thank you LB! A year has flown by and I am so excited about all of the things coming up in the next year.
DeleteHappy Birthday! I enjoyed my stay in your fine state and can't wait to get back!
ReplyDeleteI asked Dad to pick a number 1-8 and he picked: 5 - TOM YOU WIN!!!!! Email me you address and I will get the goodie basket to you =)
ReplyDeleteThanks to everyone for the birthday wishes!
